   Since September 11, Americans have changed the amount of news they consume, the sources they rely on for accurate news and how they view the media.

   As the attacks unfolded, people tapped into many different news sources, ranging from television, radio, and the Internet. Although many news websites experienced more traffic than usual, the overall usage of the Internet in the days following the attacks was down, according to one report published by the Pew Internet Research Center. In Media's Haste False Reports Arise

   "This just in," Carol Lin of CNN reported. "You are looking at obviously a very disturbing live shot there. [We] have unconfirmed reports this morning that a plane has crashed into one of the towers of the World Trade Center."
