Brian Jurczyk on Music and Politics Don't Mix.

Editor's Note: Several students in Web Journalism had some disagreement over whether music is political. A couple argued that music ( and art in general) transcend politics, but others found that view disingenuous. Even if your view is that there is much politics in music, you may wonder where protest songs like those of the 60’s have gone. The issue is even more complicated this fall with the decision by a group of musicians to perform concerts to raise funds to aid U.S. Senator John Kerry’s run for president.
